RUSSIAN INVADERS OF UKRAINE ASSASSINATE TERRORIST FIGUREHEAD IN DONETSK

Michael MacKay, Radio Lemberg, 01.09.2018

The Russian Federation terrorist Aleksandr Zakharchenko was killed yesterday. He was assassinated in Russian-occupied Donetsk, Ukraine by an bomb blast at a café in the city which armed forces of the Russian Federation took over in 2014. Zakharchenko was one of the last of Putin’s proxies from the 2014 invasion of Ukraine to have been assassinated. There are now few leading participants in 2014 Russian war crimes – such at the shoot-down of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 – left alive.

Zakharchenko was the nominal figurehead of the so-called “Donetsk People’s Republic.” The so-called “DPR” is a terrorist organization created, financed, and sustained by the intelligence services of the Russian Federation. The so-called “DPR” is the means by which the Russian Federation administers the territory it occupies in Donetsk oblast; the so-called “LPR” is how Putin manages Luhansk oblast; so-called ‘annexation’ is how Putin claims to manage Crimea. Despite all this Russian special services nonsense, the Russian Federation is waging war against Ukraine and Crimea and part of Donbas is integral Ukrainian territory illegally occupied by the Russian Federation.

The Russian Federation showed that it was unsurprised by the assassination of Aleksandr Zakharchenko. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs put out a statement within minutes blaming the “Kyiv government” for the killing. Putin put out a statement very quickly expressing his ‘condolences’ and also his “solidarity with the people of Donbas.” Kremlin hate propaganda against Ukraine attempts to partition Ukrainians who live in Donbas from Ukrainians who live in other parts of the country.

It is extremely unlikely that the Security Services of Ukraine killed Zakharchenko. Zakharchenko was a criminal, a terrorist, and a nobody in the power structure of Russian occupation regime over Donetsk region, Ukraine. He is replaceable with another puppet – and he already has been.

The murder of Aleksandr Zakharchenko follows a pattern, and Putin and Russian special services are behind every case. The following so-called ‘leaders’ in Donbas all participated in the early Russian attacks against Ukraine and in shooting down MH17 – all of them have met violent or unnatural deaths: Aleksandr Bednov, Yevgeny Ishchenko, Aleksey Mosgovoy, Pavel Dryomov, Yevgeny Zhilin, Gennady Tsypkalov, Armen Bagiryan, Arsen Pavlov, Sergey Litvin, Valery Bolotov, Oleg Anashcehnko, Mikahil Tolstykn, Vladimir Makovich, and a scattering of GRU and FSB generals.

Zakharchenko probably fell afoul of internal Kremlin machinations, much as Igor Plotnitskiy did in the so-called “Luhansk People’s Republic” nine months ago. Plotnitskiy was Vladislav Surkov’s creature, as was Zakharchenko. Surkov lost out in a power struggle to the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation – the FSB – who got their own man into power in Luhansk in a faked ‘coup.’ It is mostly likely that Surkov has lost a battle in Donetsk now, as his favoured proxy, Zakharchenko, is dead.

What this likely means is that Putin does not want Russia-invaded and occupied eastern Ukraine to be another Abkhazia (which is a territory of Georgia that has been de facto annexed by Muscovy and which is practically a fiefdom of Vladislav Surkov. All that is clear from Putin assassinating Zakharchenko is what he does not want. Putin does not want Donbas to be another Abkhazia, or he would let Surkov’s puppets remain in power. Putin does not want to annex Donbas as he did Crimea, otherwise he would have elevated the gangsters Plotnitskiy and Zakharchenko to figurehead leadership as he did the gangster Sergey “The Goblin” Aksyonov in Crimea.

By saying that he stands with the people of Donbas, Putin is saying that he will stand by the projection of a Muscovy falsehood onto Ukraine. Putin claims falsely that Russian ethnicity or language goes with a loyalty to the ‘Rooskiy Mir’ that is Putin’s imperialist mission. What is most likely is that Putin wants Donbas to be like the Trans-Dniester region is in Moldova – a captive population under the guns of Russian troops who will never to be a part of the Russian Federation but always to be kept apart from their countrymen and women.

Whatever Putin wants, what will happen is that a new criminal will become the figurehead of the fake “DNR” and Russia’s war against Ukraine will proceed as it has for the past four and a half years.
